Orange Monsoon Brooklyn, NY music (English)
Brooklyn's new quartet Orange Monsoon is a band delivering three things lost in the current club scene, instrumental proficiency, stellar arrangements and explosive energy. Born out of members of international touring indie band, The Neverbeens, this quartet has the experience playing together needed to get a crowd dancing. Guitarist Steve Ferrara and horn player Crawford Forbes are both musical veterans, having played in numerous bands together since the '90's. Drummer Katie Fuller and bass player Aaron Jaekel recently cut their teeth on the road with TNB. 2009 will prove to be a big year for Orange Monsoon as they are working on an extensive northeast touring schedule and the anticipated release of their debut Single, Wake Up Seed, in March ‘09 www.orangemonsoon.net
“They have enough range to sound like three or four different bands over the course of a set. This isn’t a bad thing, mind you: Whether the Brooklyn quartet is busting out wry country, horn-accented indie pop or upbeat rockabilly, it always sounds perfectly assured and endearingly offbeat.” ..... Time Out New York
