THE EULOGY OF LAZINESS
Pauline Le Goïc (Rennes, France)
"The eulogy
of laziness" is a performative "non-action" in the street. It comes to
cause interference on the wild rhythm of our megalopolises by proposing a
ruling in the city. In a hammock fastened to the street furniture, a lazy
person relaxes, anaesthetized by the excitement of the place.

MIREILLE
Her 1st opus, out in 2008, offers songs
with 1000 words to the square foot and catchy hooks which stay in your
head! In the steps of nouvelle chanson française, Mireille has character
and poetry flirting with the surreal which makes her signature singular.
Wether we think of Jos Violon, the coloured character of Canadian writer
Louis Fréchette, or of her Caméléon, a pure cartoon, Mireille surprises.
Moreover, she acknowledges that like her Danseuse astronaute, she dreams
to be in orbit out of time!

ISABELLE LARRIVÉE
Even though Gainsbourg, said that song is
a minor art, Isabelle Larrivée proves that it is also and still
literature. She uses humour and perspicacity to deliver a
sometimes devastating assessment of the inhumanity which has become
overwhelming with its procession of plagues. However corrosive, this
universe offers spaces of fragility and heartwarming human bonding,
bringing us closer to the best that remains of us.
