LÈRANG ET SES EUNUQUES

Under a rain of unjustified accusations, the murderous  sea tide is rising. However, life subsist on a small piece of land : a shivering tree proudly stands tall. Some tired shoes are neglecfully piled up. They have known laughs, tears and calm after drama. The feet that brought them forward are far behind, prefering a new pair as if what is there to support them has become a barrier. But there in the foliage are hidden ancient truths making their own path far from the clean cut hedges and the non existing sidewalks of the suburbs. The vines are risky and the monkeys from the sugarshacks prefer to wear ties, sit down and wait in line; forgetting about what they believe of yesterday, but they still are what they are; animals.  www.myspace.com/lorangerin

KATHIA ROCK

Born in Maliotenam, Kathia mixes ancestral melodies to contemporary sounds.  Sometimes uplifting, sometimes rock, often minimalized melodies on which “my words and my voice are put in Innu.”  “I sing about the desire of fullfillment, the quest for infinity and the part of dreams contained in the real world.  Sacred instrument for the innuat, one must first dream of it before having the right to play it.  Only a few native women attain this right, or dare to believe.  I dared and the elders helped me to believe.” www.myspace.com/kathiarockw.myspace.com/kathiarock
